A Local Council's day-to-day business used over 150 in-house business applications on their network, all supported by a number of Managed Service Providers who required access to the council's network at any time to undertake technical support tasks and general maintenance work.
The council identified that there were serious operational risks with the current arrangements because the council had no visibility and traceability on the changes made by the MSPs. This also meant that the council didn't comply with various government regulations, including CoCo, which would ultimately restrict their ongoing use of Government Secure network.
By deploying the Osirium solution the council could authenticate privilege access for each MSP and also determine the appropriate access rights for each business application. This enabled them to have complete visibility, traceability and accountability over the MSP's actions.
