Osirium ensures privileged user access and password policies meet ISO27001 requirements

A global telecommunications company realised that the Osirium solution could rapidly help them meet some of their key ISO27001 requirements.

The company had an ISO27001 compliance project in place but had identified critical gaps around privileged users and device access policies laid out in ISO27001. The issue centred on how to manage the hugely complicated task of eliminating shared passwords for privileged users, automatically and routinely changing passwords for each user on hundreds of multi-vendor devices and ensuring the appropriate access rights are granted for each authenticated role.

The company recognised that the Osirium solution could help them meet all of these requirements and fully satisfy the demands of ISO27001. Specifically, Osirium would control and automate the frequency of device password changes without impacting privileged users and also stop the sharing of privilege passwords by using strong authentication and Single Sign-On to automatically login privileged users to all their authorized devices without exposing the device admin passwords.
