Osirium automates the swap-out process when provisioning replacement devices

A global investment and retail bank identified they could save considerable amounts of time and money by automating their swap-out processes for replacing failed security and infrastructure devices.

The standard procedure for replacement of failed devices would typically NOT involve engaging ‘business as usual’ staff but rather contract external specialists to complete the task, thereby handing over control of timescales and increasing the risks of configuration errors.

However, by deploying the Osirium solution they could minimise costs and disruption by automating the complete “swap-out” process, “booting-up” each device from scratch, setting up networking configurations before moving onto the system management provisioning, to copy the last known configuration of the failed device through Osirium's auto back-up feature.
